In Asur season 2, Rasool kidnaps Nusrat and uses her past against her when DJ and Nikhil find out that he is the mole in the CBI. Ridhi Dogra plays Nusrat.
After kidnapping Nusrat, Rasool proposes a deal to DJ and Nikhil. If they want Nusrat back, they will give him Kesar and destroy all of his hard drives, which may have something important related to the Ashwini Nakshatra.
While DJ and Nikhil are busy dealing with Rasool, Nusrat faces Kamini Tyagi, one of Shubh’s henchmen. Earlier, Nusrat’s sister, Shama, asked Nusrat to help her husband illegally. She reminded Nusrat that this won’t be the first time she would do something illegal.
Nusrat denies helping her and confesses that this event Shama is talking about from seven years ago haunts her even today. Rasool uses this same event against Nusrat.
What happened seven years ago?
Nusrat’s sister, Shama, after leaving a club in a drunken state, drove her car on the footpath and killed two innocent and helpless people. A case was filed against Shama, but she was never jailed because Nusrat took the fall in her place.
Kamini shows Nusrat the two individuals they have kidnapped. One is a nice and honest girl, Sonali Rao. Nusrat doesn’t know who Sonali is. The second person is Shama, a murderer and Nusrat’s sister.
An electric current is supplied to Sonali and Shama’s bodies. Nusrat is handed a device to choose who she wants to save: an innocent or a murderer who is also her family. If she doesn’t make the decision in time, they will both die.
Who does Nusrat save?
Nusrat asks Kamini to kill her because she is the one who made a mistake seven years ago. However, choosing between Sonali and Shama is the only way she can rectify her mistake.
Nusrat ultimately chooses to save Shama, her sister, and sacrifice Sonali. Thus, showing the dark side of human nature. Nikhil arrives moments later and rescues Nusrat and Shama. Nusrat will blame herself for this incident her whole life. She even compares herself to Shubh
During the finale of Asur season 2, Nusrat is again offered an opportunity to leave when she and Nikhil get trapped inside Shubh’s base. They are surrounded by gas. However, this time, Nusrat proves that she is nothing like Shubh by staying with Nikhil.
