Liebel Ringvald: Rising Impact character explained

Liebel Ringvald is another student at Camelot Academy with a big chip on his shoulder. Yūto Uemura and Chris Hackney voice the character.

Liebel Ringvald is part of the junior class that Gawain joins at Camelot Academy and he is one of the nicer ones to welcome the young boy.

He is also the only student from the junior class ranked A which means he can compete in the grade A course and major tournaments.

However, Liebel seems to be terrible at tournaments and always choked according to his classmates and no one knows why.

He helps Gawain with his swing and is astounded by the young man’s strength just like everyone else.

He also has a huge crush on Ms. Aria which his friends always point out. When Hitomi watches him swing, he notices that something makes him tense up.

What he doesn’t know is that Liebel is always nervous to play in front of Ms. Aria.

When Gawain wants to practice at the graded courses from the beginning, Liebel supports him and Ms. Aria gives them a chance to convince her.

The weight of guilt

Ms. Aria tells them that if Gawain can beat Liebel in a head-to-head competition then he can move on to graded courses.

Gawain is excited but Liebel is worried that he cannot compete. Ms. Aria deliberately put this challenge before them to test their skills and mentality.

The first to get two holes out of three is the winner but Gawain realizes that Liebel is taking it easy at the first hole.

He is sure by the second hole and punches Liebel for disrespecting his ability by holding back.

Liebel explains that when he was a young boy, his goal was to become a big golfer and take care of his grandmother.

During one of the tournaments, Liebel was so focused on winning and making his grandmother proud that he hid the fact that his ball had shifted in a sand trap.

He won the tournament and his grandmother was very happy but he couldn’t face her because of the guilt he felt from cheating.

Liebel held that guilt all his life and threw all of the tournaments he took part in. Gawain and Ms. Arya helped him realize that he cannot let the past dictate his future that way.

After talking some sense into him, Liebel is able to compete to his full ability and even gets the best score in the Camelot Cup tryouts.
