Knox: Road House (2024) character explained

Knox, an antagonist in Road House, is the only man who stands a chance of winning against Dalton. He is played by Conor McGregor, a UFC fighter.

When Ben fails to scare Dalton into leaving Glass Key, thereby failing to acquire The Road House, his father, Gerald, decides to take matters into his own hands.

Gerald, who is still in prison, gets in touch with an enforcer named Knox. He wants Knox to go to Glass Key to handle the situation, and Knox agrees to help.

An adversary to be feared

Knox is not a regular man; he is a psychopath. On top of that, he is extremely strong and leaves chaos in his wake.

He is so confident in his abilities, believing that once a job is assigned to him, it is only a matter of time before it is accomplished.

At Ben’s request, he gives Ben one more chance to get rid of Dalton in his way. If Ben fails, Knox will resort to violence.

Ben’s attempts to get rid of Dalton fall short, which leads to Knox showing up at The Road House, resulting in a bar fight.

Unlike the thugs who have attacked him before, Dalton cannot win against Knox easily. The fight with Knox leaves Dalton injured.

Furthermore, it does not take Knox long to realize that there are similarities between Dalton and himself in terms of their issues.

Road House Knox
Knox recognizes that Dalton has issues like him

With the arrival of an opponent who can push Dalton too far, Dalton, scared of losing control, decides to leave Glass Key.

Knox cannot celebrate chasing Dalton away because Dalton returns, and this time, he does not intend to hold back.

Is Knox dead or alive?

Knox tries to run Dalton over with his boat but fails to kill him. Eager to fight and kill Dalton, he shows up at The Road House.

As Knox had earlier mentioned, he has issues, just like Dalton. When Ben angrily orders Knox to kill Dalton, Knox retaliates by killing Ben first.

This leads to Dalton losing control completely. Once he snaps, he overpowers Knox easily and fatally stabs him multiple times.

Surprisingly, the stab wounds do not kill Knox. He is admitted to the hospital, presumably under police custody.

In the mid-credits scene, he is seen escaping from the hospital after injuring the doctors and nurses, as usual, leaving chaos in his wake.
