In GOOD NIGHT WORLD, Hana Kamuro is an engineer working at Gleam Corp. She is Kojiro’s subordinate. Rie Takahashi voices Kamuro.
Hana Kamuro replaced Kojiro after his argument with the higher-ups at Gleam Corp. She is the first person Kojiro calls when the Black Bird surfaces. Kamuro calls Kojiro sensei, but he rejects her as his student and sees her as more of a subordinate.
Kamuro attempts to flirt with Kojiro, but he doesn’t pay heed to those advances either. It is hinted that Kamuro could also be the victim of Kojiro’s abusive behavior when Taichiro manages to log into the game despite Kamuro making sure that he can’t.
Kamuro accepts that she failed and demands that Kojiro punish her by hitting her with a shoehorn. Apart from that, Kamuro knows that Kojiro’s family is playing together as the Akabane family in PLANET.
She keeps this from Kojiro to protect what he has built and in order for their plan to succeed. She respects Kojiro too much and can’t let this fall apart.
Kamuro’s fate in GOOD NIGHT WORLD
Kamuro plays an influential role in the battle against the Black Bird. She is the only person Kojiro can rely on when things go wrong or if he isn’t present to resolve an issue.
When Kojiro is resting, she makes sure that his family is safe and sound. She manages to save Asuma from the Birdcage without sacrificing Taichiro in his place by sending an AI copy of Taichiro in.
Kamuro also helps Kojiro hack the Birdcage from within, which allows his family to keep the powers of the Akabane family. Unfortunately, Kamuro doesn’t survive till the end. The Black Bird kills Kamuro inside the Birdcage, as it plans to erase every other person involved in the creation and deletion of AIs in PLANET.
Kojiro doesn’t give up on Kamuro. He does attempt to revive her when 70% of the world’s population is trapped in the Black Bird’s world, knowing that she will be of huge assistance. However, he ultimately fails and decides to face the Black Bird head-on by becoming a virus to its operating system.
