Carol: A Vampire in the Family character explained

In A Vampire in the Family, Carol is the daughter of Fernandinho from his first marriage. Mel Maia plays Carol.

Carol is the daughter of Fernandinho and his ex-wife, Michele. She is not from Vanessa’s family, which makes her one of those who is in danger of becoming a vampire at the hands of Greg.

As a teenager, she has grown to become a horror enthusiast. Her room is no longer filled with Dora the Explorer posters but with posters of devil characters from anime.

Carol and Fernandinho’s relationship

Carol has also grown distant from her father. Fernandinho claims that they don’t have fun like they used to, and Carol barely shows any interest in joining Fernandinho for adventures.

When she starts suspecting Greg, she begins to think that her father is not crazy and that there is something wrong with Greg.

After finding out that Greg uses a skin to protect himself from the sun and sleeps in a casket, Carol is convinced that her father is right about Greg; he is a vampire.

Stopping Greg from turning other people into vampires brings the father and daughter together. However, both of them have different approaches to this situation at first.

Carol calls her father a coward for always choosing the easy way out

Fernandinho is glad that his brother-in-law is moving out. He only wanted to protect his family from him.

Carol, on the other hand, didn’t want any family or person out there to suffer from Greg’s attack. The two didn’t see eye-to-eye until Fernandinho met his ex-wife and his friends, who have been turned into vampires.

It’s then that Fernandinho agrees with Carol, and the two decide to stop Greg once and for all.

Carol and Ameba’s relationship

It is revealed that Carol and Fernandinho’s assistant, Ameba, were dating once. However, she broke up with Ameba and regrets dating him a lot.

While they weren’t together, Carol dated someone else. Hence, when the weapons that Fernandinho was going to use needed the blood of a virgin girl, Carol wasn’t able to provide them.

Despite all of that, working together against Greg and the vampires brings Carol and Ameba close again. By the end of the film, the two start dating again, and Fernandinho welcomes Ameba to the family.
