In Family Switch, Ariana is Wyatt’s crush and one of the reasons he decides to take a break from pursuing Yale and live the life he has back home. Vanessa Carrasco plays Ariana.
Ariana and Wyatt have lived a block away from each other since Ariana was born. They grew up playing together as kids.
She fairly remembers a number of things that they did as kids. They used to have a Christmas teddy bear that they would pass around.
Wyatt only learns that Ariana remembers so many things about them when he switches bodies with his father, Bill. Ariana tells all of this to Wyatt, believing that she is talking to Wyatt’s father, Bill.
If the switch hadn’t happened, maybe Wyatt would have never spoken to Ariana like this.
Bill messes things up with Ariana
Ariana mentions that she is happy about Wyatt going to Yale, but she also feels sad watching him leave. She thinks of Wyatt as a kind and thoughtful guy, and she believes that there are only a few of them now.
Wyatt reconnects with Ariana and learns that she is into all the stuff he is into, like Minecraft, Dune, and his favorite authors. Ariana asks Wyatt, believing that its Bill, whether Wyatt will come to a party where they can hang out.
Wyatt desperately wanted to go as himself. However, he is forced to wait to meet Ariana again, as the Walkers don’t return to their original bodies by night.
Bill and Jess take on the responsibility of making things right by attending this party. The move not only makes Wyatt and CC mad, but the fact that Bill, as Wyatt, rejected Ariana’s kiss makes Wyatt more concerned.
Do Wyatt and Ariana end up together?
After finally returning to his original body, Wyatt is visited by Ariana again. She brings a parting gift for Wyatt, as he will be leaving for Yale soon.
Yale has e-mailed Wyatt, saying that he is not ready, and Wyatt has made peace with that because, in the past couple of days, he has come to understand what is really important.
Wyatt intends to not miss the time he has here, including the time he will get to spend with Ariana. The two kiss and plan a Minecraft date.
