Disney+ announces Agatha: House of Harkness, Moon Knight, Marvel Zombies and more

Disney+ has provided a quick sneak peek into the exclusive upcoming releases on the streamer during its Disney+ Day celebrations. The vast range of content includes new series, documentaries, animated films and superhero spin-offs.

Agatha: House of Harkness is an upcoming spinoff series to WandaVision, which released in January 2021. It will feature Kathryn Hahn playing the role of Agatha. The series Echo features Alaqua Cox as the fictional superheroine, Maya Lopez, who will be introduced in the Hawkeye series releasing on November 24.

Moon Knight will be introducing a new Marvel dark superhero, Marc Spector, played by Oscar Isaac and marks Marvel’s first leap into psychological thrillers. They will be accompanied by a range of Marvel shows including She-Hulk featuring Tatiana Maslany and Mark Ruffalo, Miss Marvel, Ironheart and Secret Invasion.

Animated series from Marvel include X- Men ’97, Marvel Zombies, Spider-Man: Freshman Year and What If…? Season 2. X-Men ’97 is a sequel to the original 1990’s superhero cartoon, X- Men: Animated Series and is expected to release in 2023.

Besides Marvel, the list includes biggies such as Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Pixar’s forthcoming releases include Cars On The Road and Win Or Lose.

Disenchanted, Cheaper By the Dozen, Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, Better Nate Than Ever, Hocus Pocus 2, Pinocchio, Sneakerella, Rodrick Rules, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, an adaptation of The Spiderwick Chronicles are among the original Disney releases.

The upcoming animated Disney releases include Baymax, the musical series Tiana, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Zootopia+ and the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Expected shows from the Star Wars franchise are Obi-Wan Kenobi and Willow, produced in collaboration with Lucasfilm. Both of the shows are set to premiere in 2022.

The list of docu-series in collaboration with National Geographic includes Limitless With Chris Hemsworth, Welcome To Earth featuring Will Smith and America The Beautiful. Welcome to Earth will be available for streaming from December 8 while Limitless With Chris Hemsworth is scheduled to release in 2022.
