Octavio Trapanesen: Bandidos character explained

Octavio Trapanesen, a soldier turned thief, is recruited by Lilí to rescue Miguel. In Bandidos, Nicolás Furtado plays Octavio.

When the boss, the archaeologist who wants to find the treasure and take revenge on Miguel, kidnaps him for the moonstone, Lilí and Wilson try to find a way to rescue him.

The two of them know that they stand no chance against the boss, who has a small army of his own and a fortress for a hideout.

This leads to Lilí deciding to seek help from Octavio, a Uruguayan man with whom she has a shared history.

Joining Miguel’s group

Octavio used to be a good soldier, but then he became a thief, believing that crime killed his innocence and that stealing is his way of fighting against crime.

He has been involved with the Pink Panthers, a network of international jewel thieves, and has participated in the biggest heists to have taken place in the past few years.

When Lilí approaches him, Octavio initially refuses to help her, claiming that he has found peace and turned spiritual now.

He no longer wants to get into trouble. However, he is broke and needs money, as he is being chased by his ex’s lawyers.

He lies to Lilí about having savings, a lie that Lilí easily catches and uses to convince him to help them.

Eventually, he agrees to rescue Miguel in exchange for a million dollars that will help him get rid of his ex.

Octavio’s relationship with Inés

Octavio has a lot of weapons as well as exceptional combat skills, enabling him to demolish the boss’ fortress and eliminate all his guards.

Soon after rescuing Miguel, Octavio, along with the rest of Miguel’s group, is arrested by none other than Inés, a police officer who has been pursuing him for years.

Due to this and the fact that he does not get along with Miguel, Octavio decides to distance himself from the group.

However, the boss threatens to destroy Octavio’s boat, leaving him with no choice but to stay and help the group find the keys.

Inés also joins the group in their treasure hunt, and Octavio unexpectedly forms a bond with her, even confiding in her about his abusive father.

Even though Inés is a police officer, Octavio trusts her enough to take her to his boat, where he keeps all his weapons.

The group then discovers that there is a traitor among them, and suspicion falls on Octavio since he is the only one unwilling to share his whereabouts.

Despite being suspected of being the traitor, Octavio decides to risk his life by staying behind on the plane to land it.

It turns out that Octavio did not want to tell them about where he was because he had slept with Inés and did not want to disclose it for her sake.

Octavio survives the crash and eventually becomes a millionaire after the group finds the treasure. He then reunites Inés with her son, marking the beginning of their relationship.
