Mr. Dana & Mrs. Carmen Wiggens are the parents of Wickie. Adriane Lenox plays Carmen Wiggens, while Ron Canada plays Dana Wiggens.
After losing 20 of their shows before the Radio City Music Hall show, Girls5eva stop by in Maryland, where Wickie has a house.
Wickie has long lied about her parents and her upbringing for the music documentary she is shooting.
It is when Girls5eva meet Mr. & Mrs. Wiggens that they realize Wickie is from an upper-class family, unlike what she claims in her documentary, and grew up with caring parents who were always there for her.
Carmen is a lawyer, and they have bailed Wickie out multiple times for her mischievousness.
Constructing lies
In her documentary, Wickie says her mother is home and her father is out of the picture, which is not true. By that, she means he is out of pictures because he is always the one taking pictures.
Wickie has also talked about her twin siblings, Grace and Derek. She has said that they are always in and out of the hospital. The truth is, they are both oncologists.
Keeping all of that in mind, Wickie doesn’t think she is exactly lying to the world. Wickie has constructed all of these lies because people love a story about a hard-scrabble life over the life Wickie has lived.
Now, Wickie only informs her parents of what they need to know.
Wickie’s relationship with her parents
Wickie has her parents’ support, but she likes to think that they have coddled her. Wickie wanted to experience pressure in life and thinks supportive parents like hers make nobodies.
Considering that Wickie’s parents are rich, Dawn persuades her to ask them to bail them out of the Radio City Hall show.
Wickie does this at a time when Mr. Wiggens is dreaming of buying a boat for himself while Mrs. Wiggens is planning to stop her practice.
Wickie, on her side, realizes that she is not special enough to overcome her non-tragic story and decides to give up on her career.
To bring the old Wickie back, Dawn approaches Mr. & Mrs. Wiggins, who decide to stop coddling their daughter. They throw Wickie out of the house and give her the push she always desired.
A furious Wickie resolves to never take a cent from her parents. Mr. & Mrs. Wiggens bid Wickie adieu, and Mr. Wiggins follows his dream of buying a boat for himself.
