In Música, Isabella is an employee working at the fish market, whom Rudy falls in love with. Camila Mendes plays Isabella.
Rudy crosses paths with Isabella during his visit to the fish market. While he gets lost, seeing the fish market as if all the employees are playing music, Isabella catches his eyes and mesmerizes him.
Rudy is hit by a codfish that is being passed around while he is looking at Isabella. She later makes up for the injury by writing a note for him on the gift he has received from the fish market for the injury. The message comes with a smiley face.
Isabella’s life
Rudy puts in effort and gets to walk with Isabella, who slowly opens up to him as they get to know each other.
Isabella is unlike Haley or Rudy. Isabella has no plans for the future. She kind of likes not knowing what’s next. The best she can think about is opening a bar or a lounge in the future.
She doesn’t even have plans to move to another city to become successful. Everything she wants is here, and she loves her city. Despite the violence that exists in the city, she looks at the bright side of it.
While Rudy’s mother is his best friend, Isabella and her mother don’t share the same kind of relationship. Isabella’s mother moved back to Brazil when Isabella was 15 for a man.
Isabella says they talk now and then and thinks her mother did what was best for her. However, Isabella just wishes that she considered her daughter’s feelings too.
Isabella and Rudy’s relationship
Unlike Haley, Isabella understands Rudy’s condition and why he gets lost observing his surroundings as if all of it is music. Even though she doesn’t hear what he does, she feels him, is happy for him, and calls his condition a gift.
When Rudy confesses to her that he feels really connected to her, Isabella reciprocates those feelings. The two date for a while.
Isabella is able to see the signs that something is wrong but doesn’t question it, assuming that she is overreading.
However, once she finds out about Haley and how Rudy has been hiding things from her, she wastes no time in ending things.
Rudy attempts to win Isabella back, but Isabella explains to him that all she wanted is somebody who respects her enough to be honest with her. Much like her mother, Rudy didn’t consider her feelings at all.
Also, Rudy, who is uncertain about his future, is trying to fix something he is not even ready for. Isabella lets Rudy know that it’s not going to work out between them.
In the future, when Rudy becomes successful with his puppet shows, Isabella sends him a message. On the box of food that has been delivered to Rudy, there is a smiley sign with a note on it that reads, “You took it higher.”
