Hong Su-Jin is a supporting character in Wonderful World. The character is played by Yang Hye-Ji in the show.
Hong Su-Jin is Gwon Seon-Yul’s best friend who has an easygoing and honest personality.
However, as she likes Seong-Yul a crazy amount, she can do anything for him, including being as dishonest as she can be.
Feelings for Seon-Yul
Su-Jin suffers from a similar medical condition as Seon-Yul in that her heart is weak like his as well. The two grew up together as patients with weak hearts.
Seon-Yul has helped her a lot in life and she has come to develop a huge crush on him. However, her feelings are shown to be unrequited, as Seon-Yul doesn’t exactly reciprocate any such romantic feelings.
He considers her his best friend and cares for her, but is nowhere as obsessed with her as she is with him.
Hong Su-Jin would readily make an enemy of a person she knows to be innocent and kind if Seon-Yul deems that person his enemy.
An aid in revenge
Seon-Yul wants revenge on Eun Soo-Hyun, and Hong Su-Jin begins helping him, without question or hesitation.
She starts luring Kang Tae-Ho, the brother-in-law Soo-Hyun, to get closer to the family and get all sorts of information on them to deal a severe blow later on.
Su-Jin also helps Seon-Yul in many other ways, like acting as his tech guy. She is tech-savvy and expert at digging up information.
She also helps out on the field sometimes. Additionally, she cares and worries about him deeply, frequently checking up on him and his health and ensuring he is eating and living well.
