Sacred Games director Vikramaditya Motwane has been roped in to helm a Hindi-language web series for Legendary Global and Library Pictures, as per Variety.
The two US-based film entities have combined to produce the unnamed web series, only revealing that it will be a dark comedy-drama.
It will be written by the filmmaker and Abhay Koranne, who both created the web series together. Motwane will also provide production services through his company Andolan. The platform for the series is yet to be revealed.
Motwane said in a statement:
“This is a story very close to my heart and I am looking forward to collectively creating an incredible experience for local as well as global audiences.”
The director has created several critically acclaimed Bollywood films, including Udaan and Trapped.
On the digital front, he’s worked on popular Netflix titles. Apart from serving as director and showrunner for both seasons of Sacred Games, he co-produced the Radhika Apte starrer Ghoul.
