The Anzellans: The Mandalorian season 3 characters explained

When Din Djarin needs help restoring IG-11 back to his old self, Greef Karga introduces him to the Anzellans, some of the galaxy’s most well-renowned droidsmiths.

The Anzellans are an alien race that is quite skilled in technology and often take on jobs repairing droids and other pieces of tech. Din Djarin tries to get IG-11 back to its old self but the droid reverts to default programming and attacks them.

He is adamant that IG-11 is the only droid he trusts so Greef Karga takes Djarin to the Anzellans in Nevarro for help.

Tiny geniuses

A group of Anzellans work on IG-11 but deem it too broken to be repaired. They tell Djarin that the droid is missing its memory circuit, and that’s an extremely rare and difficult part to find.

Djarin promises to get the part for them as Grogu grabs one of the Anzellans like a toy before Djarin tells him to put it down. There has been an appearance by an Anzellan before this in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.

That Anzellan was named Babu Frik and he maintained a workshop on the planet Kijimi. Babu Frik was visited by Resistance members Rey, Finn, Chewbacca, BB-8, C-3PO, and Poe Dameron, who asked Babu to bypass C-3PO’s programming restrictions so that he may translate the Sith language.

Anzellans are extremely tiny and speak a heavily accented form of Basic referred to as Anzellan. They have purple blood and floating corneal lenses in their eyes so that they can observe even the most microscopic details.
