Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 9 recap & review

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 9 sees Satoru Gojo contending with a challenging series of events before a shocking offense leaves him in a most precarious position.

Gojo fights Hanami, Jogo, and Choso, and completely overwhelms Hanami, killing them swiftly with his Limitless. He then moves to Jogo but the latter and Choso begin killing humans by dozens.

Meanwhile, Mahito arrives on a train filled with transfigured humans who get unleashed upon the humans and cause a bloodbath. Gojo, with a heavy heart, releases his infinite void for about 0.2 seconds.

Within that tiny amount of time, he goes on a superhuman spree, killing a thousand transfigured humans. Incredibly tired, he’s greeted by Geto, as he releases his Prison Realm. Gojo is distracted by the memories and ends up getting caught by the Prison Realm.

He confronts Geto about his real identity, and Geto undoes the stitching on his head, revealing a sentient brain with a mouth. He’s an ancient sorcerer who took over Geto’s body to use his Cursed Technique to further his plans.

Before Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 9 rolls the credits, an earpiece attaches itself to Yuji and he’s told by someone of Gojo’s fate.

  • Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 episode 9 takes a turn for the morbid as the Shibuya Incident is shaping up to be one of the most dreary events in the story.
  • The seemingly undefeatable Gojo is incapacitated to the point of absolute immobility and helplessness.
  • What this means for the world of jujutsu sorcerers is what makes this affair so momentous and the events that follow that much more exciting.
