Behind Your Touch season 1 episode 13 recap & review

In Behind Your Touch season 1 episode 13, the police nab a new suspect but Jang-Yeol thinks it’s someone else.

Recap

The funeral for Mr. Jung is held and the villagers attend as Ye-bun and Hyeon-Ok grieve heavily.

Major Crimes Division takes over the case and Jang-Yeol gets Mr. Jung’s name cleared from the suspect list, citing his stage three Parkinson’s disease.

Gwang-Sik tells Jang-Yeol that he saw Park Jong-Bae going to kill Cha Ju-Man a while ago while touching his leg. The Major Crimes Division detective overhears him and thinks he witnessed that incident.

He soon raids Jong-Bae’s house and arrests him. The fact that Jong-Bae doesn’t remember much regarding his activities on the night of November 1 doesn’t help him.

Jang-Yeol insists it’s not him, while also revealing to Jong-Muk, Detective Na, and Deok-Hee about Ye-Bun’s psychic powers. She demonstrates it to them to make them believe.

Ye-Bun helps Jong-Bae by touching his butt and helping him remember where he was at the night, and later his alibi checks out and the detective lets him go.

Meanwhile, Kim Seon-Woo, who had disappeared for a couple of days returns and attends the funeral. He tells Ye-Bun that he went to look for her mother and couldn’t again, also sharing how he wanted to kill Ju-Man.

Jang-Yeol interrogates Kim Seon-Woo, who reveals that he figured out Ye-Bun’s psychometry powers. He also agrees to let her touch his butt. She does and confirms that he’s neither the killer nor the third psychic.

She later visits Gwang-Sik and Ae-Ran asks her to help her remember where she put her gold ring, but Gwang-Sik suspiciously and quite abruptly stops Ye-Bun from touching her butt. She realizes something and shares it with Jang-Yeol.

She theorizes that Gwang-Sik has been lying to them about a third psychic and misleading them. Jang-Yeol agrees that this does track with the way he’s always been pointing them to new suspects.

Before Behind Your Touch episode 13 rolls the credits, Gwang-Sik is shown delivering milk to Ju-Man’s office in a green rain poncho, looking suspiciously at the electrical socket with blood stains still over it.

Review

  • Behind Your Touch episode 13 throws more curveballs at the viewers as the mystery of the serial killer’s identity remains unsolved.
  • Gwang-Sik becomes a suspect again and again it seems to be a distraction. Meanwhile, it doesn’t seem like Kim Seon-Woo’s confident honesty and transparency are all that it seems to be.
  • The plot seems to be very dominating for a lot of episodes now and it has kind of overwhelmed the more slice-of-life and comedic moments that truly make the show such a warm delight.
  • Detective Na gets a bit of the spotlight in this episode and does wonders with it, with her remark about Jang-Yeol being one of the funniest moments in the whole affair.
