Zing released a new TV series Zing Game On: a chat show that brings together the candid side of cricketers with music and games.
The series is hosted by much-loved actor/anchor Karan Wahi and will also air on ZEE5 from February 7.
Zing Game On promises a mix of 14 cricketers from both men and women’s teams.
This includes stellar cricketers like Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag, Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyas Iyer.
The series promises to get quirky as Raina will be seen playing the saxophone and Dhawan will play the flute. Likewise, Rodriques will perform with a band and Iyer will out on a magic and rap show.
The long list of cricketers-guests also includes Yuzvendra Chahal, Harmanpreet Kaur, Umesh Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Surya Kumar Yadav, Nitish Rana, Kuldeep Yadav and Deepak Chahar.
Zing Game On‘s first episode saw Dhawan as the guest.
Pankaj Balhara, Deputy Business Head, Music cluster stated, “It was very challenging for us to crack a format which would be different from other chat shows.”
“We wanted to bring alive the other side of cricketers through music & games which would be engaging for the audience to watch as well. Hence, even the choice of the host was critical. Karan Wahi has not just played cricket but shared a great rapport with a lot of cricketers which was very critical to do justice to the format of the show.”
The series premiered on Zing on January 25, 2020. It will continue to release new episodes every Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm IST.
