Mona Singh, Swastika Mukherjee, and Shamita Shetty to star in ZEE5’s remake of Finnish drama series Black Widows, it was announced on Friday.
Black Widows follows the story of three best friends who one night decide to kill their husbands. The tale takes an even darker turn when one of the husbands survive and looks set on seeking revenge.
The streamer struck a deal with NENT Studios UK to develop two 12-episode seasons, shooting for the first is already underway in Kolkata under the health-guidelines set by the government.

The show will also feature Sharad Kelkar, Raima Sen, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Aamir Ali and Sabyasachi Chakraborty.
Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, the Black Widows adaptation starts streaming on Zee5 this December.
