ZEE5 Premium has released the trailer for its upcoming original musical series RejctX starring Kubbra Sait and Sumeet Vyas.
Shot in Thailand and directed by Goldie Behl, the story revolves around seven misfits who come together to create a revolutionary musical band.
The show also stars Anisha Victor, Ahmed Masi Wali, Pooja Sundar Shetty, Ridhi Khakhar, Ayush Khurana, Saadhika Syal and Prabhneet Singh.
Led by Wali and Victor, the fresh cast will be shown as students of Jefferson World School – a school meant for the elite class and headed by their Vice Principal (played by Vyas).
Sait, who plays a student counselor in the show, took to Twitter to reveal the trailer:
These students come in with a knack for music and use it as a release to express their angst and deal with their situations after a kid is reported missing.
According to the trailer, the show explores interesting themes such as religion bias, mental health and homosexuality.
The band will be led by two lead singers: Aarav Sharma (Wali), an heir of a political family and Kiara Tiwary (Victor), an under-confident yet talented student.
Zee5 revealed that the Wali’s character, Aarav, brings together a band with the help of Kiara who is in love with him.
Behl is known to pen and direct films in Bollywood, however, this would be his first web creation as he returns as a director after two years.

Sait and Vyas have previously worked together in season two of TVF’s much-loved series Tripling. Besides RejctX, both actors will also be seen together in ALTBalaji’s next – The Verdict: State vs Nanavati.
