Initially, Naxal’s shoot was scheduled to commence from an earlier date. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, it had to be postponed. In the wake of Unlock India, various entertainment outlets are trying to return back to normalcy by restarting their production

In this regard, ZEE5 has announced that all health and safety measures will be observed while shooting. With concern for their production unit, cast and crew, the streaming giant has stated that all dictated mandates will be rigorously followed.

Naxal will be an 8-episode action-drama web series that will centre around a Special Task Force Agent and his fightback against a Naxal uprising. The show features names like Rajeev Khandelwal, Tina Datta, Aamir Ali, Sreejita Dey and Satyadeep Mishra. Rajeev Khandelwal will be seen playing the role of the protagonist.

While ZEE5 is waiting for the due permission from the authorities, the actors have utilised this quarantine time through table-readings and getting into the skin of their respective characters.

For the first time, the audience will get to see Khandelwal in such a role, with different shades to it, from action to intense emotions. ‘Naxal’ is slated to release later this year.
