Indian streaming service, ZEE5 will launch in the USA markets, targeting 5.4 million South Asians. The launch is scheduled for 22 June.

ZEE5 is currently in beta testing mode in the USA. The streaming service will follow a subscription-based model priced at $49.99 annually as an introductory offer for a limited time. The price will later be changed to $84 annually.

Speaking about the launch, Amit Goenka, president, digital businesses and platforms, ZEE Entertainment, said:

“The United States represents our most significant market and the last bastion in our global journey as we launch an ad-free subscription service.

“As a global media conglomerate, we have had a very deep connection with our diaspora audiences here, so it is a rather happy moment for me to now be bringing this audience the largest aggregation of South Asian content on a single platform through Zee5.”

ZEE5 has already established its base in foreign markets like the UK and the Middle East. Now, the company is attempting to expand its market further with its release in the USA.

ZEE5 is home to over 1,30,000 hours of streaming content, with 100 hours of content added every day. The company also plans to introduce binging content related to music, food, and lifestyle.
