Zack Snyder wraps up ‘Army of the Dead’ prequel

Besides working on the post production of his version of ‘Justice League, Zack Snyder has finished another project. The filmmaker announced on Tuesday that he has wrapped up the shoot of the ‘Army of the Dead’ prequel.

Although ‘Army of the Dead’ is yet to be released on Netflix, the team has already finished filming the prequel which will see many of the cast members reprise their roles.

Announcing the wrap, Zack Snyder revealed the first look of the prequel. It was a still from the sets and featured Nathalie Emmanuel, Stuart Martin, Matthias Schweighöfer, Guz Khan, and Ruby O’Fee.

The plot details of the prequel remain under wraps, but ‘Army of the Dead’ is set in the backdrop of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas and follows a group of mercenaries who come together to pull off a massive heist at a casino.

The movie stars Dave Bautista, Huma Qureshi, Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera and Theo Rossi among others.

Moreover, Zack Snyder worked as both, the director and the cinematographer, on the film.

While ‘Army of the Dead’ is expected to release on Netflix next year, it remains unclear when the prequel will premiere.
