World’s Most Wanted: Netflix docuseries on world’s heinous criminals

Despite gruelling investigations and extensive criminal search by the top global crime detecting agencies, some criminals have always managed to be on the run, dodging and fleeing the law and the police. World’s Most Wanted is a crime expose on these heinous malefactors and how they have tried to evade capture for more than 20 years.

Netflix’s true-crime docuseries, ‘World’s Most Wanted’ features top five wanted names of the global crime list. They are Russian genocider Félicien Kabuga, British terrorist bomber Samantha Lewthwaite, Russian mafia boss Semion Mogilevich, Italian criminal Matteo Messina Denaro and Mexican drug lord, Ismael Mayo Zambada.

All investigative and criminal proceedings by agencies like national police, Interpol, CIA, FBI, DEA, ATF, Secret Service and MI5 in locating these criminals have been accumulated together to create this docuseries. Whatever audio-visual pieces of evidence that could be gathered from recording conversations, tapping phone lines, locating sim cards and setting up cameras, they have been put together to string the narrative of these perpetrators.

Faking names, nationalities and passwords to facilitate movement across borders was one of the easily identified techniques that these criminals resorted to. In between the investigations in the series itself, ‘World’s Most Wanted’ will also feature some of the experts’ take on the criminal activities of these wanted names.

Netflix’s bag of documentaries is growing at a rapid rate. After a critical take on migration with Immigration Nation, combining political with personal in Father Soldier Son and giving us a peek into the lives of our doctors in this pandemic in a special ‘Coronavirus’ episode of Lenox Hill, Netflix’s newest venture of true-crime ‘World’s Most Wanted’ has already received positive reviews after its trailer release.
