With a recent trailer release, Amazon Prime Video India announced the release of DC’s Wonder Woman 1984 on its platform. The superhero will land on your screens on May 15.
One of the few movies which saw a theatrical release after the lockdown, Wonder Woman 1984 was much appreciated by the audience.
It is a sequel to Wonder Woman which released in 2017 and was set during World War 1. The sequel fast forwards to the 1980s and presents a rather modern world to the audience. It follows Princess Diana’s adventure of destroying evil and protecting the world.
Wonder Woman 1984 brings back Gal Gadot as the lead along with Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig in key roles, among others.
The movie is the ninth installment in DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and marks the first film where a character has received a second solo film.
WW84 has been directed and written by Patty Jenkins along with Geoff Johns.
The official description of the movie reads:
“Diana must contend with a work colleague and businessman, whose desire for extreme wealth sends the world down a path of destruction, after an ancient artifact that grants wishes goes missing”.
