Rahul Dev is all set to play a father in the upcoming drama-comedy by ALTBalaji and ZEE5.
The actor, who was last seen in a negative role in ZEE5’s original film Operation Parindey, will now be seen as Prem Singh Barnala, a retired Subedar-major.
The father-son web series will revolve around their day to day adventures in Delhi. Things get interesting as Soggy’s father (Dev) will turn into an overnight star as he runs a rental shop for X-rated DVD’s.
While his clientele mainly comprises the posh women of Delhi, the father-son duo gets ready to run a successful business until something happens to turn their world “upside-down”.
The cast also includes popular YouTuber Harsh Beniwal and Mentalhood’s Nikhil Bhambri.
Speaking about going back to doing a project with ALTBalaji, Dev stated:
“It feels wonderful to be back on ALTBalaji after two years. Life comes full circle, as it’s from this platform I started my OTT journey .. Feels like home ground.”
Dev was a part of ALTBalaji’s The Test Case with Nimrat Kaur and Juhi Chawla before taking on Who’s Your Daddy?.
Speaking further about his character, Dev added:
“I thoroughly enjoyed working on this show. Watched my character of Prem Singh Barnala evolve, finding his way through a gamut of emotions, exploring his relationship with his son, mother, deceased wife and finally accepting a new beginning with grace.”
