Rob and Ryan have no experience in football or working with each other. From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, Welcome to Wrexham will track Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it.”

Other details

FX network already announced in May 2021 that it placed a two-season order for the docuseries.

Trailer

Reynolds and McElhenney are in Wrexham interacting with the community and taking over the beloved football club. In addition to the experience of these two men, the docuseries is also going to capture how football is more than just a sport and means so much to the local community and the people of Wrexham. It is going to have elements like the underdog story, the connection that people have to sports and the challenges that athletes face, laced with the light-hearted, wholesome and inspiring moments.
