Other details

The series is based upon the character of Wednesday Addams, from the popular cartoon family, “The Addams Family.” They first appeared in a collection of cartoons, some of which were printed in The New Yorker for 50 years, beginning in 1938. Later, they were transformed into other forms of media, including film, television, video games, comics, a musical, and merchandise.

Wednesday, who switches schools often, is frequently referred to as a freak. She gets expelled for releasing piranhas into the school’s swimming pool, and attacking the boys. Her parents send her to Nevermore Academy, where she encounters mystery, mayhem and magic.

Wednesday Addams navigates her life at Nevermore Academy, which is supposed to be a safe haven for children. Only to later find out that there is something wrong with this place.

From secret societies to hidden libraries to a homicidal monster, Wednesday wonders what other surprises are in store at this school.
