Taika Waititi’s war satire Jojo Rabbit now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar

Disney+ Hotstar has announced that Taika Waititi’s hit war satire Jojo Rabbit is streaming now on their platform.

The official description of Jojo Rabbit reads as follows:

Writer director Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE), brings his signature style of humor and pathos to his latest film, JOJO RABBIT, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.

Waititi – who’s the man behind hits like Thor Ragnarok and Hunt for the Wilderpeople – also plays JoJo’s interesting imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler, in the movie.

The movie is based on a book named Caging Skies by Christine Leunens.

The streaming platform took to Instagram to reveal the news:

Waititi is also slowly making a mark in the digital space. The writer-director has voiced bounty hunter droid, IG-11 in Disney+’s original The Mandalorian and is also onboard with Netflix to create an animated series.

Disney+ Hotstar has been releasing a string of theatrical releases on their platform like Ad Astra, Bala. This comes at an important time when audiences are staying home due to the current situation.

The movie made its release in October 2019. If you missed Jojo Rabbit in the theatres, you can catch the trailer right here:
