Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming animation film, Vivo. Lin-Manuel Miranda has voiced the titular music-loving honey bear.
In this animated musical, everyone speaks the languages of love and music. Miranda’s character, Vivo, plays best friends with the music-loving human, Andre.
On a mission to deliver Andre’s love letter (love song) to his past lover, he makes a friend along the way, Gabi, who joins him in his endeavour. It’s up to the new friendly duo to bring the possible lovers together through the notes of lyrical affection.
Written by Quiara Alegria Hudes, the film is directed by Kurt DeMicco and co-directed by Brandon Jeffords. Besides Miranda, the cast also includes Zoe Saldaña, Michael Rooker, Brian Tyree Henry, and Nicole Byer.
Vivo will be available on Netflix from August 6.
