‘Master’, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, released in theatres on January 13. Now, Amazon Prime Video has announced that the Tamil action thriller will be available on the streaming platform starting January 29.
Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Master’ is built around John Durairaj (Vijay), an alcoholic professor who is sent to a juvenile correctional centre where he finds out about a gangster named Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), who uses the children of the school to carry out criminal activities.
Speaking about the digital release of Master, Vijay said he is “glad” that people from across India and the world will now be able to enjoy the film on Amazon Prime Video.
He added: “I am certain that the interesting duel between John and Bhavani will take the audiences on a roller-coaster ride of action and drama.”
In addition to Vijay and Sethupathi, Master also stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das in supporting roles. It has been produced by Xavier Britto.
