Netflix India didn’t have the best luck with exclusive Indian films last year. While original films like Chopsticks and House Arrest failed to create any lasting impression, Dharma Productions’ Drive turned out to be a complete disaster.
However, the tide seems to be turning. The platform’s first original film of the year ‘Yeh Ballet’, featuring Manish Chauhan and Achintya Bose in the lead, has been winning hearts ever since it began streaming.

Taraporevala previously worked as the screenwriter for renowned filmmaker Mira Nair’s The Namesake, Mississippi Masala and Oscar-nominated Salaam Bombay.
