Tom Hanks starrer Greyhound unveils thrilling naval events on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has revealed the trailer for its upcoming original film Greyhound starring Tom Hanks in the lead. The movie is all set to premiere on July 10.

The official description of the film that was originally supposed to be released theatrically reads as follows:

Inspired by real events, Captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) leads an international convoy of 37 ships on a treacherous mission across The Atlantic to deliver thousands of soldiers and much-needed supplies to Allied forces.

Besides Hanks, the cast of Greyhound includes Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan (Stranger Things), and Elisabeth Shue (The Boys). It has been directed by Aaron Schneider and produced by Gary Goetzman.

Greyhound marks Apple’s biggest investment in a feature film as it took the platform a whopping $70 million to get worldwide rights for it.

Earlier this year, Apple TV+ announced a lineup of all the new originals it has in store for its customers. However, due to COVID-19, many streaming giants including Apple TV+ had to halt or delay productions.
