The Witcher season 2 on hold as 4 test positive for Covid-19

Netflix’s fantasy-drama The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill, has halted shoot for season 2 after four crew members tested positive for Covid-19.

In response to the situation, Netflix will execute an isolated round of testing for everyone involved in the show’s production.

None of the people who tested positive belong to the lead cast members of the show. Netflix will resume production once they have determined it is safe to do so.

The filming had been taking place at Arborfield Studios, which is located west of London, England. Production for the show was also halted back in March when Kristofer Hivju, who plays Nivellen on the show, had tested positive.

Based on a series of Polish fantasy novels, The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill. It is based in a world where it is difficult to tell apart good from evil.

Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri also make up for the lead cast of the show.
