The Witcher season 2 on Netflix: Release date, cast and trailer

Netflix has released the trailer for the much-awaited ‘The Witcher’ season 2. A full two-minute teaser trailer was released in July 2021, as part of the WitcherCon event.

The Witcher Season 2 is set to premiere on December 17, 2021, on Netflix

Cast and creators

Multiple main and recurring characters will grace the screens for the second run of the fantasy series which will be played by:

  • Eamon Farren
  • MyAnna Buring

Besides the above-mentioned characters, an army of accompanying actors will appear on the screen.

Synopsis

The official description reads:

Trailer

Picking up from the end of Season 1, the trailer showcases glimpses of Geralt making contact with Ciri, the young, orphaned heir/Lion Cub of Cintra and taking her under his wing. He takes her to Kaer Morhen — the citadel where he learned his Witcher skills — building a new strand of storyline.
