During the New York Comic Con 2022, Prime Video released a sneak peek for season 2 of its fantasy series ‘The Wheel of Time’, along with a quick montage of moments from season 1.
The streaming service also released first-look photos for the upcoming season:
‘The Wheel of Time’ has already been picked up for a third season. The announcement was made after the conclusion of production for season 2.
The official synopsis for the show reads:
“Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers.
“There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.”
Key cast members include Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Josha Stradowski, Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris.
It has been directed by Uta Briesewitz, Wayne Che Yip, Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Ciaran Donnelly, and developed by Rafe Judkins.
Rafe Judkins, Larry Mondragon, Rick Selvage, Mike Weber, Ted Field, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz are the executive producers.
