‘The Vijay Mallya Story’ to be adapted as a web series

K. Giriprakash’s book ‘The Vijay Mallya Story’, based on the life of the controversial business tycoon, is set to be adapted as a web series.

Actor-producer Prabhleen Kaur announced on social media that the rights have been grabbed by Almighty Motion Picture.

The book traces the journey of Mallya, right from his birth to when he moved to the UK after being accused of money laundering and defaulting on payments, among other charges.

According to reports, the script for ‘The Vijay Mallya Story’ adaptation is close to being finalised, with a prominent actor set to play the tycoon. The shooting is scheduled to begin next month.

Almighty Motion Picture is a relatively new name in the industry, only recently making its debut with MX Player’s Mastram.

The book’s publishing house, Penguin India, also expressed excitement at the announcement:
