The widely popular Netflix series The Umbrella Academy has reportedly been renewed for a second season that is slated to begin filming in May 2019, thus, indicating a release in early 2020.

The show is an adaptation of the award-winning comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá and the cast includes Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton, and Mary J. Blige.

Once the rumours spread, Twitter exploded in anticipation. However, Netflix is yet to make an official announcement but considering the success of season 1, it’s a matter of when and not if.
