The Princess Switch 2: Vanessa Hudgens starrer Christmas flick gets a sequel

Netflix’s 2018 Christmas Rom-Com film The Princess Switch, starring Vanessa Hudgens, is getting a sequel!

This year, however, we’re already getting a Christmas flick starring the High School Musical alum, The Knight Before Christmas which is due to release on November 21.

The Princess Switch was released in November 2018, just in time for the Jolly season and was a delight to netizens.

But the icing on the Christmas cake is that sequel is going to feature Hudgens as a triple threat. That’s right, she will have a triple role in the movie.

In addition to playing Stacy, the aspiring pastry chef from Chicago and Margaret, the Dutchess of Montanaro, Hudgens will portray a third look-alike, who causes nothing but trouble for the existing characters.

In The Princess Switch, Stacy and Margaret switch places when a chance encounter causes them to meet and realise that they are doppelgangers. Their lives, on the other hand, couldn’t be more contrasting from each other.

Margaret wants a taste of the normal life, and Stacy in turn, agrees to embrace a life of luxury, even if it’s for a short time and even if it comes with a complication. A betrothal to a really hot prince.

Stacy and Margaret are back, with a third look-alike named Fiona, who is a constant thorn in their sides. The film also stars Nick Sagar who portrays Margaret’s love interest, Kevin.

Netflix’s update account on Twitter revealed the news with a short synopsis for the sequel:

Filming and production for The Princess Switch sequel Switched Again will kick off in November in London, for a planned 2020 release.
