The Morning Show season 2 on Apple TV+: Journalism drama returns

Apple TV+ is back with ‘The Morning Show’ season 2, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. The series explores the world of morning television news shows. It will premiere on September 17.

The trailer for the new season picks up from the closure of the previous season where anchors Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) exposed the toxic culture at the UBA.

According to them, they exposed ‘an environment that silenced women that came forward with complaints about sexual misconduct’.

Going by the trailer, season 2 will touch upon the topics of racism and the coronavirus pandemic, while trying to bring Alex back on the loop of the morning show, after her apparent exit.

The trailer also hints at another expose about the behind-the-scenes situation on the network and clashes between the two leads.

Season 2 includes cast from the previous instalment – Billy Crudup, Steve Carell, Desean Terry, Mark Duplass, Marcia Gay Harden, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Janina Gavankar, and Tom Irwin.

Meanwhile, the entourage of new cast members includes Hasan Minhaj, Tara Karsian, Julianna Margulies, Greta Lee, Ruairi O’Connor, and Valeria Golino.
