‘The Midnight Club’ gets new BTS video ahead of release

Netflix has released a new behind-the-scenes video for its upcoming horror series, ‘The Midnight Club‘. The show is set to premiere on October 7, 2022.

The plot follows a group of seven terminally ill young adults living in the Rotterdam Home hospice run by a mysterious doctor. They get together at midnight every night to tell each other spooky stories. One night they make a pact that the first one to pass will be responsible for communicating with the others from beyond the grave.

The new video features creator Mike Flanagan and Executive Producer Trevor Macy who talk about the unique structure of ‘The Midnight Club’. It firstly focuses on the ‘A’ stories which follow the events happening inside the hospice. In addition, it also showcases ‘B’ stories, which are recreations of tales narrated by the kids at night.

Flanagan explains that the main cast plays multiple characters in these recreations which explore genres like sci-fi, thriller, mystery, and more in the scariest of ways.

‘The Midnight Club’ is based on the 1994 eponymous book by Christopher Pike. The makers also reiterate that this show is a celebration of Pike’s work and will explore his tales in an authentic manner.

The show stars Iman Benson, Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, William Chris Sumpter, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, and more.
