Voot Select’s ‘The Gone Game’ season 2 begins shooting

Sanjay Kapoor, through an Instagram post, announced the commencement of shooting of ‘The Gone Game’ season 2. The show will premiere soon on Voot Select.

Sanjay Kapoor who plays Rajeev Gujral on ‘The Gone Game’, announced that the season was coming soon amid speculation over delay in release of season 2 of the popular series.

Season 1 of ‘The Gone Game’ premiered on Voot in August of 2020, during the pandemic and obtained an interesting achievement by becoming one of the few series that was shot entirely on phones, by the actors from inside their houses, due to the pandemic.

Many in the audience believed that season 2 will carry this forward, but news since then has made it clear that the sequel will not be shot the same way, rather it will be an outdoor shoot and because of the same, the release of the show has been postponed.

The series is also set against the backdrop of the pandemic and follows the missing case of Sahil Gujral, who at first is assumed to have been infected with the coronavirus, but as the series progresses, more sinister plans come to the fore.

The entire cast of season 1 is to return including, Sanjay Kapoor, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rukshar Rehman, Arjun Mathur, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya, with Harleen Sethi being a new addition in season 2. The series is directed by Nikhil Bhat.
