Netflix has released a teaser for an upcoming Turkish series which will become Netflix’s second original Turkish series.
Titled ‘The Gift’, the fifty-second clip shows Atiye who has the perfect everything. Atiye has a healthy relationship, a happy family and is even about to open her first solo exhibition.
However, things take a turn for the worse when an archaeologist named Erhan discovers a symbol in the ruins of an ancient temple called Gobeklitepe. Through palaeography, he soon discovers a connection between the symbols and Atiye.
As her own life starts to turn strange, Atiye embarks on a mission to discover her past and any secrets which lie hidden in those ruins.
The show which is set in Istanbul was announced by Netflix Turkey.
The Gift follows in the footsteps of ‘The Protector’ which was the first Turkish Netflix Original released back in 2018. Moreover, Alex Sutherland who produced it now returns to work in The Gift too. He is also known for his previous works such as Argo.
The cast of The Gift features Mehmet Gunsur, Metin Akdulger, Melisa Senolsun, Basak Koklukaya, Civan Canova and many others.
The Gift will be ready to stream on Netflix come December 27th, 2019. Check out the teaser:
