The Forgotten Army concert creates Guinness World Record

A concert held by Amazon Prime Video India at a hotel in Mumbai has created the Guinness World Record for the Largest Indian Cinematic Music Band.

The band of 1046 musicians recreated three pieces from The Forgotten Army’s album, including the title song ‘Azaadi Ke Liye’.

While the original is sung by Arijit Singh and Tushar Joshi, the concert saw the song’s composer Pritam taking over the vocals, supported by the 1000-plus participants.

Guinness World Record adjudicator Swapnil Dangarikar can be seen confirming the record in the clip.

Talking about the concert, he said, “It was a spectacular performance with the highest level of proficiency. It’s my great pleasure to be present here to be able to see and listen to the largest indian cinematic music band.”

The Forgotten Army began streaming on 24 January.
