The Expanse season 6: Release date, cast and trailer

The final season of the science-fiction series, ‘The Expanse’ will follow Holden and the unified forces’ joint venture to battle the lethal attacks on the planets by Marco Inaros led Free Navy. The Expanse’ is adapted from the homonymous novel series by James S. A. Corey (a pseudonym shared by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck).

Release date

The first episode of Season 6 will premiere on December 10. Comprising of a total of six, the episodes will air weekly every Friday.

Synopsis

“Holden and the crew of the Rocinante fight alongside the Combined Fleet of Earth and Mars to protect the Inner Planets from Marco Inaros and his Free Navy’s campaign of death and destruction. Meanwhile, on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power rises.”

The Expanse’ is composed of a series of eight novels, five novellas and three short stories. The sixth season will be based on the sixth novel, Babylon’s Ashes and the novella, Strange Dogs.

The series was created by Syfy Network and resumed for three seasons. After it got cancelled, Amazon Prime Video acquired it and recommenced it for further seasons.

The series earned several nominations and critical acclaim since its debut. It was conferred the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation in 2017 and a Television Spotlight Award at the 46th Saturn Awards.

‘The Expanse’ has also been adapted to a four-part comic series by ComiXology.

The final chapter entails a war-like situation as Free Navy backed by Marco Inaros pledges to destroy. Amid extensive losses and separations, Holden, the Rocinante crew and the united forces of Earth and Mars combat the wipeout.
