Netflix’s The Crown bags 4 awards at Golden Globes 2021

Netflix Original series The Crown has won 4 awards at the 78th Golden Globe Awards. The awards honoured the acclaimed American TV series and movies which came out in the past year and was held virtually this year.

The Crown was nominated under 6 categories at the Globes and brought home 4 out of those. It is a drama series which revolves around the life of Queen Elizabeth II.

For her performance as Princess Diana, Emma Corrin won the ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series’ Award. She featured in the 4th season.

In addition, Josh O’Connor took the trophy home for the Best Television Actor under the same category.

Gillian Anderson also bagged the ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ Award. She played the role of Margaret Thatcher.

Golden Globes turned out to be a giant party for everyone associated with The Crown. The show also bagged the award for ‘Best Drama Series’.
