Prime Video’s ‘The Boys’ gets release date for season 3

‘The Boys’ is a web series based on the eponymous best selling comic that was created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson that follows a group of vigilantes who combat superpowered individuals who abuse their powers.

Prime Video has announced that the third season of ‘The Boys’ will release on their streaming platform on June 3, with the first three episodes coming out at once and the remaining episodes premiering weekly up until the finale on July 8.

The announcement of the release date comes hand in hand with the release of the first official teaser for the upcoming season that features the superheroes, Homelander (Antony Starr) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty) posing for photographs with the press while Vought executive, Ashley (Colby Minifie) watches on.

Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ will focus on the lives of the vigilantes after they split up at the end of last season, as well as the uneasy tension that will be present among the current members of the Seven after what has transpired in the past. Several new superheroes have been announced for the latest season that is similarly inspired by the comics with a few unique changes.

The cast of ‘The Boys’ also includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchel, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.

The series has been created and run by Eric Kripke. He also serves as executive producer alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn and Michaela Starr.

‘The Boys’ is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television along with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.
