‘The Batman’ set to premiere on HBO Max

Warner Bros. has announced that ‘The Batman’ will be released on the streaming platform after a successful run in theatres worldwide.

The latest iteration of the caped crusader is set to drop on HBO Max on 18 April, continuing on with Warner Bros’ trend of releasing its films on HBO Max exactly 45 days after their theatrical release.

The film follows the early years of Batman as he is forced to investigate the city’s hidden corruption and question his family’s involvement as the Riddler sows chaos in Gotham City.

The film stars Robert Pattinson as the titular hero with the cast also including Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, Andy Serkis, John Turturro and Peter Sarsgaard.

The Batman has currently grossed $359 million in the United States and $735 million worldwide and has broken many opening week records for a WB property.
