Amazon has added another film to their growing list of Prime Originals with the trailer release of the upcoming sky journey movie: The Aeronauts.
The cast includes Academy Award nominee Felicity Jones and winner Eddie Redmayne. The story will see the duo, play characters inspired by real-life events. The Aeronauts will revolve around the journey of a meteorologist’s ambition to accurately forecast the weather and a balloon pilot’s help in achieving it.
Set in the backdrop of London in 1862, the movie will feature two ordinary people trying to achieve the impossible. However, this simple goal gets increasingly complicated as the duo find themselves in a fight for survival.
Amazon describes the synopsis as:
“In 1862, daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) teams up with pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history. While breaking records and advancing scientific discovery, their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their place in the world they have left far below them. But they face physical and emotional challenges in the thin air, as the ascent becomes a fight for survival. “

The enthralling trailer for the film shows beautiful and dramatic visuals suggesting that a lot of production costs went into the making. The Aeronauts will be released in theatres and be available to stream on Amazon Prime come December. Check out the trailer:
