Taapsee Pannu, via a social media post, announced that her upcoming thriller film, ‘Looop Lapeta’ will take the OTT route and premiere on Netflix. The film is an official remake of a German movie from 1998 titled, ‘Run Lola Run’.
‘Looop Lapeta’ will feature Pannu in the role of Savi while Tahir Raj Bhasin will play her on-screen romantic partner, Satya.
Even though the plot details haven’t been revealed, certain hints can be taken from the original German story that follows the female lead, Lola, as she rushes to procure a huge sum of money in 20 minutes to save her partner’s life.
From then on, the narrative resets twice and we see three possible scenarios on what happens next, depending on Lola’s encounters.
Directed by Aakash Bhatia, ‘Looop Lapeta’ has been produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Ellipsis Entertainment. The release date for the film is still under wraps.
