Sweet Home: Netflix’s new Korean horror series

Netflix released the trailer of its upcoming South Korean drama ‘Sweet Home’. The horror series is based on a webtoon of the same name by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan.

The 10-episode VFX/SFX stars Song Kang, Lee Do-Hyun, Lee Jin-wook, and Lee Si-young among others.

Sweet Home follows a troubled teenager Cha Hyun-soo (played by Song Kang) who is forced to move to a new apartment after his parents’ death. His life is soon upended as he meets with strange and horrifying incidents.

As people around him start turning into savage, blood-thirsty monsters, Hyeon-Su and his neighbours try to save their humanity and fight off the devil who has wreaked terror on the residents.

The horror series has been directed by Lee Eung-Bok, who has previously worked on hit Korean dramas like “Descendants Of The Sun” and “Goblin”.

The lead actor, Song Kang, is best known for his role as Hwang Sun-oh in Netflix’s “Love Drama”.

Sweet Home premieres on Netflix on December 18. Watch the trailer here:
