Sundance success ‘Fair Play’ acquired by Netflix

Netflix has acquired the rights to stream the successful Sundance Festival film Fair Play, starring Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgeton), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Hail Caesar!) and Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky). The deal was worth $20 million.

The official synopsis reads: “An unexpected promotion at a cutthroat hedge fund pushes a young couple’s relationship to the brink, threatening to unravel far more than their recent engagement.”

Chloe Damont, who is both the writer and director of the Fair Play, made her feature film debut with the film after helming short films and TV show episodes.

Leopold Hughes and Ben LeClaire from T-Street; Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum from Star Thrower Entertainment are the producers.

No exact release date has been announced yet.
